[Matthew 13:30] “Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, first gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn.”
Jesus spoke of the tares, which were bundled up and burned first. But that which He had sown, His seed, returns to God’s heavenly barn multiplied. God’s seed comes from heaven in order to be fruitful for the multiplied and glorified seed eventually becomes the living bread. Jesus, the firstborn of all creation, came to us as the Bread of Life. We as His body on earth are also His representatives therefore also the Bread of Life.
[Psalms 13:1] How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?
The above verse is only an example of how God can hide His face from us. The hiding of face is the actual withdrawal of His presence. David experienced bouts of this reality. Woe to us when it becomes permanent. I too have experienced the withdrawal of His presence. I was spiritually dry for lengthy periods of time. But then I started to seek Him again with all of my strength and fervent love His presence returned.
While I share with you this truth He is with me. The fear of God I have today keeps me on this wonderful course.
[Psalms 27:9] Do not hide Your face from me, do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; do not abandon me nor forsake me, Oh God of my salvation!
“Do not hide your face from me.” It means this: His face is synonymous with His presence. My back does not have a mouth one can speak with, but only my face. Cain turned his back to God’s face and went his own way.
